Housing Instability Definition - Category for Social Determinant of Health artifacts that pertain to Housing Instability (which is defined as: Currently consistently housed, but experiencing any of the following circumstances in the past 12 months: being behind on rent or mortgage, multiple moves, or housing cost burden.) This SDOH category covers records relevant to circumstances that range from Housing Instability to Stably Housed. LOINCis used for Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) observations (assessment instrument panels, questions, and answers.) (LOINC may be used for SDOH goals in future versions of the SDOH CC IG.) SNOMED CT U.S. Edition is used for observations, conditions, goals, and interventions related to SDOH. (Interventions may include procedures and/or service requests in the SDOH CC IG.) ICD-10-CM is used for diagnoses related to SDOH. CPT is used for interventions related to SDOH. (Interventions may include procedures and/or service requests in the SDOH CC IG.) Gravity Project’s SDOH Screening Assessments, SDOH Conditions, SDOH Goals, and SDOH Interventions (SDOH Service Requests and SDOH Procedures) value sets are included in USCDIv2. NCPDP Comment

NCPDP recommends ASTP/ONC remove one of the two categories (‘Representing Inadequate Housing’, ‘Representing Housing Instability’) since they appear to be the same. If they are not duplicative, please redefine one of these categories.
