# of students to be trained:  PHIT@ JSU will train 245 faculty, staff, professionals, and community college and high school students, and confer 120 undergraduate and graduate degrees and 75 certificates/badges.

Program Type: New Programs and Expanding Existing Curriculum

The PHIT@JSU Consortium partnership will allow the two institutions of higher learning, JSU and Alcorn State University, to share existing infrastructure and capabilities to prepare, train and place underrepresented minorities into public health informatics and technology careers. The consortium will promote and recruit for informatics and analytics trainings, certificates, and degree programs in public health informatics, bioinformatics, nursing informatics, health informatics, data sciences, data analytics, and business analytics.
