Using Direct Messaging to Send Secure, Unsolicited Patient-at-Risk Alerts

The Indiana Direct Messaging pilot demonstrated how providing unsolicited reports for “at-risk” patients through secure electronic messaging could improve prescriber awareness of potential prescription drug abuse.
