New program at Norfolk State University aims to improve community healthcare

NSU says the goal is to increase the number of professional employees in the public health workplace from underrepresented populations who have expertise in information, computer science, and technology. It’s being developed with support from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. It includes an internship coordinated with the Virginia Department of Health and Hampton Roads Community Health Center.
