The federal government’s healthcare tech arm released proposed provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act and enhancements to the certification program for health IT technology. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) refers to the new planned regulation as Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: Certification Program Updates, Algorithm Transparency and Information Sharing, or the HTI-1, proposed rule.
