Meg Marshall

Meg Marshall has over 18 years’ experience in legal and policy topics related to health care and health IT. As Cerner’s Director of Health Policy, she is actively involved in contributing toward the use of IT to enable innovation, efficiency and safety in the healthcare delivery system with special focus on patient safety, population health needs, delivery system reform, health information exchange and patient privacy. Meg has performed in many roles, including software design, consulting and sales, for many types of health information technology solutions and leverages her experience to oversee and develop Cerner’s positions on health care policy, while collaborating with government officials and industry partners to advocate and further favorable policies in the healthcare environment.

Meg received her law degree from University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas. She is a member of eHealth Inititiative’s Policy Steering Committee, serves on the Executive Committee of the Electronic Health Record Association, chairs the EHRA Privacy and Security workgroup, chairs the HIMSS Government Relations Roundtable, is a regular contributor to Bipartisan Policy Center and Brookings Institute, and is a member of the KanHIT Advisory Council.
