HHS Artificial Intelligence Community of Practice

The goals of the CoP are to provide an opportunity for ongoing learning and collaboration across the department, to surface priority issues for HHS-level and cross-agency coordination by ASTP/OCAIO, and to help to identify key issues for consideration by the HHS AI Governance Board.

The HHS AI CoP is open to all HHS employees and there are a few different ways for you to engage.

1. You can sign-up for the general HHS AI CoP listserv. Through this you’ll receive curated AI insights across the health and human services sectors as well as communications from the Office of the Chief AI Officer (OCAIO).
2. You can join the HHS AI CoP through MS Teams for collaboration and access to the OCAIO shared documents (those without access to MS Teams will be able to access the same documents through our Connect.gov site). 
3. You can more actively participate in one of these first five HHS AI CoP workgroups. Each will have its own listserv and meeting frequency:
   • AI Talent and Workforce Development
   • AI Procurement
   • AI Technologists 
   • AI Policymaking
   • AI Compliance 
   • AI Research and Evaluation
