Ryan Dempsey Argentieri, deputy director of the office of technology at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), explained during the Federal Executive Forum Healthcare IT in Government webinar the need to achieve health IT alignment across the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). “I would say that’s the number one priority because it extends to all the other priorities” across HHS, she said. Achieving that alignment, he said, makes “sure that we are all rowing in the same direction and leveraging all the great work happening by the smartest people in the respective rooms across the department.”
