Rochelle Prosser is an Army Mom, a parent and wife of two cancer survivors. For one of her family members, it took nine years to finally find a viable solution that halted the progression of their cancer. As a Healthcare Founder and member of the African American Community, Ms. Prosser has leveraged her own struggles to navigate the Oncology space and create a vast database of cancer treatments, The Prosser Cancer Treatment Library, so that other families do not face the lack of information and stress that her family endured. In addition to providing everyone with better access to Oncological Care Navigation, Ms. Prosser’s work will help remove the Health Disparity barriers in Oncology care to provide options and foster improved overall survivorship rates to the community she serves.

"In Oncology Care, we become members of a community no one wants to be a part of and embark on a journey no patient wants to travel. Yet, in due time, you realize you are not alone.”

  • Rochelle Prosser, Founder of Orchid Healthcare Solutions

Through her company Orchid Healthcare Solutions, Rochelle offers cancer education, resources, and healthcare system navigation to Patients, Oncology Providers, and Industry Partners. The revolutionary Prosser Cancer Treatment Library houses all cancer treatments in one place and our Care Team is well-versed in Cancer Care Navigation Issues.

In addition to her efforts at Orchid, Rochelle is a Neurotrauma Critical Care Nurse, Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, The Commission for Nursing Reimbursement, The Society for Neuro Oncology, The Oncology Nursing Society, Conquer Cancer, Veterans Conquer Cancer, Cancer X Moonshot, Digital Medicine Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Rochelle also sits on the board for St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital Miami Committee and is a member of the Patient and Families Council for the University of Miami, and last but definitely not least, Ms. Prosser is a member of the Cancer Moonshot within the Biden Administration office of ONS, American Organization for Nursing Leadership

Orchid Healthcare Solutions is based in Miami Gardens, Florida, the largest and most diverse county within the United States. Miami Gardens also represents the highest incidences of Cancer, Heart Attacks, High Blood Pressure and Strokes per capita according to the latest Community Health Assessment conducted by Jackson Memorial. In addition, according to the Department of Health and Human Services, Black Americans make up 20% of the population of the United States, yet they are only offered knowledge and awareness of Clinical Trials at the rate of 6% after they are diagnosed with Cancer of any kind and then only participate at a rate of 1% enrollment into these Clinical Trials at Academic Centers of Excellence Nationwide.

“These numbers are abysmal and completely devastating for family members diagnosed with Cancer. If Oncology Survival were a business that was ROI dependent, that company would be bankrupt."

  • Rochelle Prosser, Founder of Orchid Healthcare Solutions

It is with high hopes and intentional determination Orchid Healthcare will be part of the solution and achieve the goal of 50% increase in the overall survivorship in Cancer within 10 years, that aligns with the goals of the World Health Organization, Healthy People 2030 Cancer Goals and the long-standing challenge of the Cancer Moonshot, which Ms. Prosser is deeply grateful and honored to be a part of.
