The Medicare EHR Incentive Program – EHR Incentive Payment Timeline
For eligible professionals (EPs), incentive payments for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program are generally made approximately four to eight weeks after EPs attest to having achieved meaningful use. For eligible hospitals (EHs), EHR incentive payments will also be made approximately four to eight weeks after the EH successfully attests to having achieved meaningful use.

Medicaid incentives will be paid by each State and timing of payments may vary by state. Contact your state Medicaid agency for more information.
The Time is Now
EPs and EHs have already begun to receive EHR incentives, but EHR incentives will not last forever. The last year to begin participation in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program is 2014, and the last year to begin participation in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program is 2016. The time is now.
