{"id":504,"date":"2012-06-19T08:39:46","date_gmt":"2012-06-19T12:39:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/healthit.hhs.gov\/blog\/faca\/?p=504"},"modified":"2026-01-06T05:33:36","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T05:33:36","slug":"joint-hearing-to-conceptualize-clinical-quality-for-meaningful-use-stage-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/healthit.gov\/blog\/insights-updates\/joint-hearing-to-conceptualize-clinical-quality-for-meaningful-use-stage-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Joint Hearing to Conceptualize Clinical Quality for Meaningful Use Stage 3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Recognizing the importance of evolving quality concepts within the <a href=\"http:\/\/cms.gov\/Regulations-and-Guidance\/Legislation\/EHRIncentivePrograms\">Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs<\/a>, two ONC federal advisory committee workgroups jointly held a <a href=\"http:\/\/healthit.hhs.gov\/portal\/server.pt?open=512&amp;mode=2&amp;objID=3079&amp;PageID=20787\">full day hearing <\/a>on June 7, 2012 to identify ways in which Meaningful Use Stage 3 may advance the consistent delivery of high quality care in diverse care settings. Experts from health care delivery organizations, quality improvement organizations, industry, and academia shared insights regarding how clinical decision support, quality measurement, and the use of clinical data can improve care.
