{"id":11946,"date":"2017-07-05T08:33:34","date_gmt":"2017-07-05T12:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/healthit-gov.go-vip.net\/buzz-blog\/?p=11946"},"modified":"2025-07-11T19:40:05","modified_gmt":"2025-07-11T19:40:05","slug":"join-trusted-exchange-framework-common-agreement-kick-meeting-july-24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/healthit.gov\/blog\/interoperability\/join-trusted-exchange-framework-common-agreement-kick-meeting-july-24\/","title":{"rendered":"Join Us At the Trusted Exchange Framework &#038; Common Agreement Kick Off Meeting on July 24"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Cures Act, (Cures) a bipartisan, comprehensive law, supports the discovery, development, and delivery of new treatments to maintain America\u2019s global status in biomedical innovation.&nbsp; Cures calls for innovation in the seamless exchange of health information and lays out a path and timeline to develop or support a trusted exchange framework and common agreement to achieve full network to network exchange of health information.&nbsp; Cures calls on the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to advance that seamless exchange of health information, and ONC is working collaboratively to implement the trusted exchange framework and common agreement provisions in Cures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ONC will host a series of three public stakeholder meetings; the first one is scheduled for July 24<sup>th<\/sup> in Washington, D.C<\/strong>. <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>will be simultaneously webcast for those who cannot attend in person. <\/strong>(The second and third will be webcast only and in-person and webcast, respectively with dates to be announced.) These meetings will allow us to gather information about successful network to network exchange of health information, as outlined in the Cures Act.
